I. Precision Cooling Control Process: Significantly Reducing Scale Thickness
The thickness of scale directly affects the efficiency of pickling and shot blasting processes for downstream customers. In the traditional wire rod production process, excessively thick or densely structured scale can lead to prolonged pickling time, increased costs, and even affect the surface quality of the final product. In response to the strict requirements of downstream customers for pickling and shot blasting processes, Xinggang's technical team successfully controlled the surface scale thickness of key steel grades such as SWRCH35K, 10B21, ML40Cr, and SCM435 to the advanced level in the industry by optimizing the cooling control process parameters and adjusting the cooling rate and temperature curve after rolling. The new process makes the scale structure more loose and less adhesive. Customer feedback shows that the pickling efficiency has increased by more than 30%, the pickling time has been shortened by 20%-30%, and the shot blasting cleaning efficiency has increased by more than 15%, significantly reducing production costs and shortening the processing cycle. At present, this technology has been stably applied in multiple production lines of Xinggang and is gradually being promoted to other steel grades, providing more competitive raw material solutions for the automotive parts, high-end fasteners and other industries.
II. Breakthrough in Zero Decarburization: Anti-Decarburization Coating Equipment Put into Production and Effective
Surface decarburization is a key factor affecting the performance of high-end materials such as bearing steel and spring steel. In traditional production processes, wire rods are prone to react with oxygen during heating, resulting in the loss of surface carbon elements, thereby reducing the hardness, wear resistance, and fatigue life of the material. High-end materials such as bearing steel and spring steel are particularly sensitive to the depth of the surface decarburization layer, and traditional processes are difficult to meet the "zero defect" requirement. To solve this problem, Xinggang has invested in anti-decarburization coating equipment. By spraying a high-temperature resistant anti-oxidation coating on the surface of the wire rod, it effectively isolates oxygen, making the decarburization layer depth of the reheated material reach the "zero decarburization" level at best. Verified by customers, this technology effectively avoids the problem of reduced fatigue performance caused by decarburization, and is particularly suitable for the manufacturing of high-precision bearings and high-end springs. III. Customized Packaging Solutions: Safeguarding the "Zero Scratch" Quality of Wire Rods
With the expansion of Xinggang's products in high-end fields such as new energy vehicles and precision instrument components, customers' requirements for the surface finish and appearance quality of wire rods have become increasingly strict. Scratches on the surface of wire rods will affect subsequent processing. For this reason, Xinggang has set higher standards for the appearance protection of wire rods. The company has established a special team to conduct full-process size measurement for wire rods of different production lines and specifications, and has developed customized solutions in conjunction with packaging suppliers: using high-compressive and wear-resistant material packaging bags, four different sizes of packaging bags have been custom-designed to ensure that the packaging bags for each specification of wire rods can fit the wire rods, effectively protecting the surface of the wire rods and ensuring no scratches on the surface during transportation; at the same time, the protection of the crane spreaders in the production line has been upgraded by adding special protective rubber sleeves, which completely solves the problem of internal scratches during the lifting of wire rod coils.
